Sinéad Corcoran is the Chief Legal, Corporate & External Affairs Officer of Bon Secours Health System CLG (BSHS), Ireland’s largest independent Hospital Group which has a network of 5 modern JCI accredited acute hospitals. These world-class medical facilities are in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Tralee. BSHS also has a Care Village in Cork.
BSHS employs over 3,000 personnel who, together with more than 450 leading consultants, work in partnership to provide the highest standard of Advanced Medicine and Exceptional Care.
BSHS has recently launched its exciting 2025 Strategy which is underpinned by a €300m investment in its facilities, state of the art equipment and technologies including the development of a new 150 bed hospital in Limerick.
Sinéad joined BSHS in February 2020 having had a successful 20 year career in private practice. Sinéad previously worked with Ronan Daly Jermyn where she had been a Corporate Partner for nearly a decade and prior to that had worked with the premier law firm, McCann FitzGerald.
In 2021 Sinéad expanded her role beyond law and oversees a number of BSHS’ non-legal functions including Corporate and External Affairs and Capital Projects.
Sinéad is also Company Secretary of the Private Hospitals Association CLG, the representative body for the independently funded hospital sector in Ireland. Its 18 member hospitals play an essential role in the delivery of acute and mental health services, accounting for almost one-third of the acute hospitals in Ireland.
Sinéad has a unique perspective to share having been at the centre of the whole of healthcare response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sinéad has a first class BCL Degree from University College Cork and qualified as a Solicitor in 2001.
